The next Trust AGM on the 29th of June , will be a critical meeting for the Future of the Trust . There is a very real possibility that the future of the Trust is in question and it may be dissolved . This situation has arisen due to the need for new office bearers I hope we have some positive responses to this appeal ,as the Trust is a big part of supporting various projects associated with the club .

Dont mean this in a bad way but id like to see the trust dissolve and hopefully start under a different genre with more support from fans, moving in a forward direction but i wont deny the trust for what its dont and i will go and hopefully generate a response to help

It would be a blow to see the Trust go as it has been a great support to the club in several ways over the years. As a natural optimist I feel that this won't happen as I'm sure people will step forward to take on the office bearer roles. Part of the problem has been that people from the Trust have gone on to take up roles within the club and/or the Community Charitable Trust eg Eddie , Lorraine , Gordon , Bill and myself. I'm sure new people will step forward to ensure there will be a supporters' trust working to give a voice to supporters' views and work for the benefit of fans and for the benefit of the club as a whole.

would be absolute madness to stop The Trust. Not sure of the figure but it brings in thousands + small matter of paying for the programme.
Surely we can find a few people to take up positions ? If not its a sad day.

If so we need a few good rovers fans to take the job on, we need a trust for this club.

Is it worth posting a bit about what roles need to be filled and what's involved?

One of the Main posts that Require to be filled will be be the chairperson The Chairpersons main responsibilities are calling meetings and preparing agendas . It is not that time consuming in itself . The reason that I am standing down is due to the other responsibilities with Community Trust and Board . But this is not too time consuming and generally pretty enjoyable .

What fans need to do ,if possible ,is to consider helping around the club by doing things like weeding, painting ,general tidy up pre season, organising fundraisers and obviously with Eddie stepping down someone to bring it all together , all in all some new faces to take the strain of the people who,are doing way too much and need some help .

I hear the trust is having a jumble sale, one of the community guys is buying the managers gear from last year (lol) only joking, or maybe not? the club are selling all their kit off he said. My son's been training with the 19s team so i might get him some of the kit if theres any training gear, does anyone know when this jumble sale is being held and whats being sold?

The trust is still in existence. We have a newly appointed chairperson and and secretary. We are seeking another appointee to office and shall no doubt formally announce all of this shortly.
Thanks to Eddie Hagerty for his years of sterling service as chairman and to Hugh & Lorraine for theirs also.

As Roy has said it is great that the posts of chairperson, secretary and treasurer have been filled and that the supporters trust will continue to assist the club and represent the views of the fans.
