So, the MIGHTY 'Vers are sitting proudly in 4th place and making great head-lines in various newspapers!
We're surprising many football "experts" with our form to date.
It's been an amazing season to date.
Tomorrow will be a very tough game however after our resounding victory over the bottom dogs Brechin on Tuesday evening to make it 7 points from 9 in 3 games I'll go for a 2-1 victory over the 'Loons to continue our Championship Play-Offs charge!!!
C'MON THE 'VERS!!!!

Prof, couldn't agree more with your post! Not sure if we're gonna make a 'charge' into the play offs spots, but one thing for sure, this group of players have far exceeded what was expected of them. If we get something from tomorrows game then the aim within the squad must now be the playoffs! We have battled through some games this season and have played some good football. Bottom line....we are where we are on merit.

Confidence is high and on a good run of form. More than capable of taking the 3 points here. Rovers to edge it by the odd goal.

Agree we didn't deserve to lose but didn't really deserve to win either. In a game of very few chances the goal was one of the few bits of quality, a great cross and brilliant header. Quite a few strange decisions by the ref, that said I thought we were lucky not to concede a penalty in the first half and I thought McBride dived which his why he got the second yellow. It was a bad dive too, I laughed at first then remembered he was already on a yellow. Be good to see it again but my first reaction was a definite dive.

Referee school has a lot to answer for! Some really strange decisions against both sides. Forfar... foul after foul and it persisted throughout the game, notably leading with the elbow. Few real chances made, so a day to put behind us. Fortunately other results went in our favour.

The game was there for the taking. I can't fault the lads as they all played well. The usual word 'unlucky'. Referee cost us the game as it was never a red card. The game changed after that....oh well, at least results went our way today.. Let's beat stenny and open a 4 point gap away from the enemy ?

The highlights are up and if I was Tee I would post the link.............
When I read the report on the game I presumed Scott McBride's second yellow for diving was to try and win a penalty. The highlights are worth watching for that moment of comic genius alone.
The Forfar goal came from a really good cross and a very well placed header so credit where it is due. At the same time though we are undone once again by a cross into the box that we can't defend properly.
Ultimately no real harm done as other results more or less went our way but it is a continuing source of frustration that we keep losing fairly preventable, and similar goals.

Similar incident with a Crystal Palace player in the teatime game last night. He got the free kick.

The guys all played well and there was nothing between the sides. The referee wasn't the best. It was a great finish from the Forfar player to win the game at the death-pity we couldn't have held out for what would have been a deserved point. Still 4th though - onwards to gub Stenny again on Tuesday!!
