Thanks Ronnie. Just a couple of additional points. No problem with the players getting their nearest and dearest in as they no doubt sacrifice a lot of day to day family life to support their men with the football career. Least they deserve. Just my opinion of course. But some people were collecting multiple tickets and dishing them out! And the delightful young lady handing them out almost needed 2 hands to hold them all!
I don't know all the faces at the club but I'm sure the DoF was on the gate doing a 'meet and greet' so he should be able to provide a view on things.

There has always been a problem with comps over the years. When I was at the Club I wrote to all Clubs in the Divisions to say that we would no longer issue complimentary tickets for Club scouts. My reason for this was that for years the scout from Aberdeen F.C. got a comp ticket for every home game yet we never sold a player to Aberdeen. It was my reckoning that scouts should pay for their ticket and claim it back from their Club. To be honest I would do away with comp tickets for everyone excluding match sponsors. I remember one Tuesday night game in the winter when we were the only game on and the comps outnumbered the paying fans. It was ridiculous. Add to that I was always annoyed at providing comps for the S.F.A. blazers who could well afford the entrance fee. Time for a radical re-think on the whole question of comp tickets especially for visiting Clubs and players.
