Great to hear so much discussion about the match do I detect a surge of interest in the Rovers .... which can only be a good thing for the club and hopefully a increase in crowd attendance and sponsorship.Im DEFINITELY not going to miss the return match at Cliftonhill.

I would just like to say that having been at the game yesterday the Manager and his assistant should be ashamed of themselves. The two of them stood in the technical area like a couple of THUGS the whole game swearing at both the players and the referee. Definately NOT the standard of people you want kids who support the team looking up to. Yes, the start to the season has been good, however there is absolutely no chance that it will continue with these hooligans in your dugout. "hooligans",,,that made my sunday. Get some laugh on this page at times

No wonder they were swearing.

Take it your ears dont work then. lol ears work fine,i can hear the birds fart. Everyones entitled to their own opinion but if your offended by swearing or coaches showing passion or dare i say "standing like thugs/hooligans" might i suggest you try following a different sport other than football. I thought the coaches were pretty mild compared to some ive seen over the years. And yesterdays defensive display and refs performance would have driven nuns to swear. Maybe Ronnie can see about adding a swear box to the dugout next week and donate proceeds to charity.

Lol , Dave Caldwell was the worse thing to happen to the club. All I'm saying is that game should of been over and done with at 4-2. Giving your players abuse when they are on the park isnt going to give them any encouragement and if that continues throughout the season it will happen more often. It was actually embarrassing listening to the two of them. I would be more worried if they werent upset and critical of the team. I like kerr and malcolm. i like there style and like the way they tell players when they have done wrong. The players didnt need encouragement they need a rocket up their backside. All 5 goals came from individual errors. 1st. 2 center halfs got caught under the ball nobody marking the number 9 2nd. Marr (i think correct me if i am) dived in for a tackle 9 proded it through his legs and won a pen 3rd couldnt clear our lines in our own box 4th gave away a silly foul on edge of the box scored free kick 5th again couldnt clear our lines in our own box. Every week the cb positions are costing goals. Im fed up with it. Perry came with a very poor reputation and is fully living up to it

Bring back the Dunlops? Dear God that's a terrible idea. We defended so deep due to their lack of pace that goals conceded were inevitable! Plus our defending of cross balls into the box was woeful! Last season was at least a season too far for Mick for me. They'd never have cut it in Kerr's team with the high defensive line.
Jase is a great player at this level. Admittedly he's not set the heather on fire this season (!!!) but I believe he'll come good and be rock solid. And he's got an obvious goal threat in him. Perry looks like a nervous wreck in the games I've seen except when he's just clearing his lines. Lightbody just needs a rest from time to time as he's a young guy so I've no problem with that.
I quite like seeing managers behaving like morons/normal people/fans at the game, it kind of tickles me. Shame the dugouts at Cliftonhill are at the wrong side of the park.
There was a certain inevitability in last season's games when we couldn't buy a goal, sat in deep and more often than not seemed to lose a goal. Might just be me and although I'd rather be winning games, I'd rather lose 5-4 than 1-0.

I wasn't at the game so can't comment. But I note, above, critical posts by "yvo" quoted by others. However yvo's posts aren't on the thread. Can anyone explain?

Oh. Most interesting!! The style seemed a bit familiar, but I just couldn't think of who it reminded me of...

I have seen most games this season both home and away - and I can honestly say that we can score at will , but also concede at will. We need a happy medium - a bit of calmness is needed at the back in time of adversary. The last 10 minutes yesterday was a clear example of when we needed a leader to step up and pull the defence together - it felt a bit frantic and every man for themselves at that stage - we need that assurance at the back , because we will encounter similar games this season and need some calmness when defended leads late on - lets not retreat to the tactics of previous seasons - we have the skill and pace upfront to entertain , lets tighten the back door - oh for a Willie Leishman or a Duncan Shields - when I was very young !

D7 makes an excellent point but it only applies to one of the Dunlops. BK was right to let Michael go but Ross D has everything required from a centre half at this level, it's our loss that he decided to follow his brother.
I haven't seen Jason Marr in a Rovers shirt but I've long believed that he is one of the best defenders in part-time football and has been since he first came onto the scene at Alloa with Paul Hartley. With time I hope he can get back to his peak and bring some leadership to the defence.

Fair points albino and I agree Ross D is decent at this level too. Not the quickest but I'd have him back. Wonder if the two of them still wear the same boots!!
Jase likes to make a tackle and kind of put down a marker if you know what I mean. He got booked against QoS and then sent off against Stranraer for that type of tackle. And it looks like he maybe did the same for the penalty yesterday. It all smacks a bit of he's maybe trying too hard - who knows?
Don't know how you're placed albino but it would be good to see you at one of the games. It's cracking entertainment this year compared to the last 2 seasons.

Evening chaps. Just to say apologies for anyone annoyed by my comments yesterday evening. Combo of too much alcohol & emotions.
We're all ARFC fans at the end of the day and all entitled to our opinions.
Still 3rd in the League - onwards and upwards!!!
