As you may have seen in the news today sadly the local food bank was broken into. As you know this is a very stressful month for some families at Christmas and with this happening in our local community we will help in every way we can. We have been in contact with the Coatbridge Community Food Bank and we are delighted to announce we will be holding a bucket collection in aid of raising funds. The bucket collection will be this Saturday at Cliftonhill when Albion Rovers take on East Fife. We hope the community can dig deep and help out a fantastic cause. #TeamWork #CommunitySpirit www.facebook.com/Coatb/

Announced on Twitter they'll also be accepting donations of foodstuffs.
I understand that things such as tins and packets and presumably sweeties at this time of the year in particular will be welcome rather than perishable items which will go off are the type of items to donate.

When i contacted Angela from the food bank last night she just asked for a bucket collection, now taking food donations also. We have had a great response on facebook and twitter and i hope all fans who can donate can. Thanks again everyone. Local MSP Fulton Macgregor done a fantastic job today taking down donations from his office.

Happy to help with this appeal. Our fans responded well to the bucket collection held for the foodbank at the start of the season and am sure will respond well again to help them out at this difficult time for them.

What type of sicko trashes a food bank? Anyhoo, good to see all the donations yesterday including some supplies delivered by some EF Santas.
