Fully deserved point which in a way, like QP the other day, felt like a win. Dreadful conditions at times, but same for both teams. First half was a non event other than first few minutes, thought big Vitoria, who looked decent in spells, made wrong choice to shoot from tight angle when cut back was on for 2 unmarked runners for a tap in, always looks easy right enough from where I stand. Bumper crowd.....today was the day for the 50/50.....say that every new year but again, wasn't to be. On with the game.....1 up for a goal that seemed to be in slow motion, so much so I was just waiting on a linesman flag which thankfully never came....great shift/turn from Vitoria to Put it on a plate. That was the difference, that wee bit of individual skill. Thought we were really unlucky with their equalising goal with the way it rebounded into net, especially unlucky for Daniel in goal.....thought he had a great game too....commanding and good decision making, despite the relocation of the animals made homeless at the recent London zoo fire, all now occupying the terracing immediately behind him. Lost another quickly after that and that was me slipping back into perplexed mode.....but credit where it's due.....a wee bit if pressure by the boys at the end and got the reward with last kick of the ball. D7.....bang on.....poor game.... but gee me that any day rather than January sales. Also wee special.mention for Alan Reid.....400 games and still counting.....congrats to him. Love the way he completely dingyed the guard of honour which was so professionally Put in place for him....instead opting to play redge rover with fish and break through the first few players to get to his position.....no nonsense. Nice touch by club/trust to mark occasion for him. Onwards to alloa now.

Just watched the highlights - although Furtado is credited with Airdire`s second did it not, in fact come off the defender?.....anyway bad luck on the `keeper after a great stop from the initial shot.

Another good point - but unlike the Queens Park game , I felt this was one we let slip. We were the better side up to the goal but seem to become a bit leggy once Airdrie got into their stride after equalising, No doubt their free Saturday and full time training had a telling effect and was beginning to think another hard luck story was emerging until the dramatic leveller, Full marks for the team battling to the end and continuing this mini unbeaten run . It is still an extremely tight league if you offload Raith and Ayr - but we are showing the fighting spirit that is essential for the remaining finish to the season - we WILL stay up !

Forgot about Reidy's 400 games. That is some achievement. And yes he clearly wasn't interested in the guard of honour which was a wee bit of a shame as they were ship-shape waiting for him.
Vitoria did well to create the chance in the first half and was probably entitled to take the shot. It was an impossible angle right enough.

Well done to come away with a draw good start to 2018 . I was at the game and thought every player put in a shift in not the best conditions. Thought the defence did well and held the line with airdrie getting caught offside on numerous occasions. Considering the mix of players experienced and young I think we are doing ok. So let's get behind them with a bit more positivity .

How did the away support behave, generally, but, in particular, for the Alan Reid announcement/presentation?
Hope Alan returns to back kick where I think he looks most comfortable.
Onwards to 500!
