Saturdays match at home to Queen’s Pk has been postponed already. Tuesdays game v Ayr at home must also be a doubt.

After discussions with SPFL it was decided to call the game off now as unfortunately there was no realistic chance of the game going ahead. We will keep fans updated on the chances for Tuesday evening's game against Ayr going ahead.

The main problem with 'summer' football is when would the season start and end. The season just now from the league cup through to playoffs is 10 months long. That could be condensed to 9 I suppose. Which leaves us at the very least starting right now and ending in late November - do people really want that? Imagine play off games and cup finals being called off and the problems that would cause. Add in Players, staff, officials, fans summer holidays etc. I've obviously pointed out a few simple reasons against the idea here but I am very keen to hear how these major obstacles could be resolved. I've yet to hear any!

Apparently the collapse of the Polar Vortex is one of the main reasons we have had the glut of postponements across the country. It is a once in 30 year phenomenon ! Hope this freakish weather has not put pay to our aspirations to stay in Division 1.

Once the dust has settled on the end of the season in mid June - Brian Kerr can sum up our season by the sheer bad luck of injuries /suspensions at the wrong time of year and that bloody Polar Vortex that made us play 4 games a week that not even Barcelona could have coped with !
