Should have said actually - what about Trouten's goal tonight? Free kick, head flicked into the box by Vitoria. Keeper comes out and Trouts deftly chips the ball over him before rounding him to tap the ball into the net. If Messi had scored that we'd be raving about it! Definitely a contender for goal of the season from an absolute stick on to be player of the season. Good luck to Trouts wherever he plies his trade next year. I'll take your version above > but was slightly different on screen .... Good work by Hester - terrible 'pass' back, but great work by Trouten who looked really sharp last night, that run he had splitting the whole defence... was unlucky not to hit the target. Also thats a bloody Penalty at 7.38 FFS.

Clear penalty: Higgins shoved off the ball right in front of the ref. Decisions not exactly going our way in last two games. As ever, 'glamour' billy big timers with shouty big support get the nod. Oh well.

Hi all, I was at the game last night and thought that Alan Trouten's goal was superb. Well done to the Ayr fans who turned up last night as the attendance last night was more then the Queen's Park and Arbroath games combined, good for the finances if nothing else. I was pleasantly surprised to see Ian McCall in the stands last night (guess he had a touchline ban) but I noticed him vaping in the stands on more than one occasion. Why was he not challenged about this by the stewards? Is he above the law. He should have joined us outside at half time for a smoke/vape and a chat as we respect the rules of not smoking inside venues.

I’m not convinced it was a penalty at the time but thought it worth a claim anyway. Thought it was a good old fashioned shoulder to shoulder charge.

Mick Dunlop was penalised for exactly the same thing v East Fife at home. If anything, the Ayr one was worse. Antway, not given. On to the Alloa match noo.

The better atmosphere always seems to bring out the best from the players as it showed against Raith Rovers and again last night. If only we could get a similar turnout in the remaining home games, especially against Forfar, then this can act as an extra spur for the team. Regardless of what happens at the end of the season we should move heaven and earth to keep Alan Trouten. After having looked at the highlights - I am convinced that we were denied a penalty and I have a friend who is a grade 4 and shall remain nameless for obvious reasons - and he was in 100% agreement !

I wonder if we could do something to increase the crowd in the final games: cut the entrance fee or something? Bigger crowds definitely make Rovers play much better. Oh and yes to keeping Trouten: he seems to emjoy himself: 28 so far!!!!!

Cracking game, great performance against a full time team, and if that isn't a penalty then my name is George Clooney.
Not sure how Potts can be blamed for first goal, the ball came through a crowded penalty area, he can't have see it until the forward who was almost on top of him prodded the ball home.
Ball bouncing just in front of a keeper is always a problem, Potts positioning was possibly at fault, a few steps back might have down the trick.

thought GK was at fault for second and third goals imo,we could have had a penalty when Higgins was bundled over, not a stonewall but seen them given.
