I would ask all Rovers fans to support this event and persuade friends, family and colleagues to do the same. It should be a great night and is an important fundraiser for the club. Alex Smith, our main speaker, has a wealth of football related stories to tell including ones from his time as a Rovers player, John Thomson was a hit as MC at the race night and the presentation to the Hall of Fame inductees should all make for a successful night. And all for £30 a ticket.

For those attending tonight’s event, dinner will be served from 1945.
Could you please endeavour to be at the Bowling Club and seated for 1920 as the evening will commence with introductions and opening remarks at 1930.
Thanks

A very successful evening Grant with around 125 people there. Alex Smith was an excellent guest speaker. Thanks to all who attended and supported the evening. A special thanks to Scott and Alison McGowan and Lorraine Simpson for all their work in making the night go so well. Having The Hall of Fame and the POTY and Goal of the Season as part of the night was also a big success.

Great night and very well attended Alex Smith was a superb speaker some great stories and what an absolute gentleman he was one thing that did puzzle me was that there only seemed to be 2 directors in attendance out of the 9 maybe I'm wrong but that was odd.

Thought it was a great night, hats off to the organisers Scott, Alison and Lorraine, everything worked really well, slight delay between soup and main course which meant there was a element of catch up for rest of evening with raffle at end done as a sprint to beat the midnight finish. Alex Smith was a gent, quite a bit of his talk was about his time at the Rovers, and from there how he got into management. Lucky to get him, he is emigrating to Oz in June. Scott Chaplain, Alan Trouten and Sean Higgins all gave short, gracious speeches on getting their awards, all three really nice guys. Good luck to Alan in the Championship next year with Alloa.
