1-1 dukesy must have been looking down on “handjob harry” as dukesy called him as Hazza saved a penalty. 😂

Congratulations to former U19s player Mark Doran who has been selected for the Reserves tonight. Mark asked to be released at our last game as he wasn’t playing as much as he would have liked. However, it’s great to see that on two occasions of two players asking to be released by U19s due to lack of game time the other player also playing tonight (Morgan Dunlop) That the reserves have snapped them up. Promotes a great pathway to rest of my squad. PATHWAY - Sign for U19s - asked to be released - sign for reserves. 👍🏻
A hint of sarcasm? Certainly.

On that note,I have decided to leave after this season is done with the U19s. I have been at the club for two years and personally for me as a coach I have learned stuff here that i probably wouldn’t have learned elsewhere, so I would like to thank everyone at the club for what they have done for me and my U19s. Special mention to JD the physio who has always been great with my players since he has came to the club. Also to any of you Vers fans who have offered your support to my lads it’s been greatly appreciated.
My focus now is finishing the season as strongly as possible. We have a game next Thurs at K-Park against EK in the semi final of the league cup hopefully we can win that finish on a high.
I wish the club all the best for the future.
Thanks Josh

Sorry to hear that Josh, but can understand your position. I have followed you and your team`s `adventures` from afar on this board and on twitter. Good luck wherever you move to, I am sure some other club will snap you up.

A big loss to the club Josh. You were the only level headed poster on here and that inspired me to turn up and watch some U19 games. You had some terrific results and you've got some cracking players. No doubts some of them will turn up somewhere else next season 😉.
I wish you all the best my friend.

Best of luck from me too Josh. It was a good experience to see you and the U19s last night. Nice to see last season's home strip being worn too, it is my personal favourite

Hi: I have watched and listened from the side, I am gutted that josh is leaving the Rovers. If anyone has watched the team they play with passion and pride to have the badge on. However the lack of support and encouragement from the club left Josh no choice but to accept this offer in my opinion . I would imagine not the first offer he has had. His team is full of great potential players from cubs like Alloa, Airdrie, Kilmarnock, Celtic, Motherwell to name but a few. There was 7 or 8 players playing for rovers reserves from this team, however only 1 or 2 want to stay with reserves ?? 4 players opting to play junior football rather than play in the reserves for development. All playing as trialists as the u19,17,u15 are separate to Albion rovers FC. There is no direction so unless this changes we will never create our own players, we will continue to have players on short contracts. Kevin Harper has done a great job but the news of the u19 leaving worry's me for the future as I don't think there will be progress and the Rovers will be fighting relegation for many years to come, and with no community teams where are the next generation of fans coming from !!
This is just my opinion :-(
