Read the article to the end. The manager can only sign players as and when wages are freed up. He commented that some of the players don't want to leave. Brogan's legacy lives on.

From the `propaganda` document that went out with the accounts to all shareholders. Referring to the early setlement of the Shawbrook loans it says
" ....we are pleased to inform you that some of this will be directed towards the manager to allow him to strengthen the team during the fothcoming transfer window..."

Pretty certain that the manager has already brought in a number players this window that have undoubtedly strengthened the team and squad. It has also appeared in a National paper that the loan has been paid off early. So the ‘propaganda’ in those cases appears to be true. 👍🏼 He is and will continue to work hard to improve the squad for the remainder of the window.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the manager is working hard to improve the squad.

Yeah your right. I don’t know what was wrong with me. I’ve looked into it and we are definitely in the same predicament as Tottenham Hotspur. We too have a Harry Kane back in March and a player at the Asian games.

Im surprised you can’t see how your earlier comment is the same as the one I just posted (although different teams obviously)?

Sad that it didn't work out but a pity that it has been used for the usual suspects to start slagging of the board. Tedious.

Was there ever any contact between the Club and the player....I suspect not...? Sadly not. Asked for my number yet never called 🤔

This 👆 Maybe the manager just didn’t fancy big JG, that doesn’t mean the board should be blamed. In fact I’d be more worried if the board were telling Kevin who to sign. Personally though I’d have had him back in a minute, not just for his goals but the lift he’d give the full place from dressing room to fans.

Grant , this board could sign Messi & Neymar paid for from Ronnie & Eddies own pocket and you’d still find it a negative. you don’t think paying off the Shawbrook loan and redirecting funds to squad is a positive ?? What is it in the propaganda document that you find so upsetting, is it something that shows the board doing better or is it that it shows your friends in a bad light?

Can't help thinking we might have missed a trick there, given our predicament we need someone that could hit the ground running and he knows the club and the league inside out. Don't get too many obvious fits but that one seemed like a bit of a gift.

Who, in your view, is the 'Peter' who is being robbed to pay 'Paul' (ie the manager)? As I understand it, the Club negotiated an early-settlement deal to pay off the dodgy loan at a hugely reduced cost, thereby freeing up funds that were previously used to make the exorbitant monthly loan payments. No cost-cutting appears to be involved. I realise that you have no time for the current BoD, preferring to put your faith in people like David Caldwell and the almost universally-reviled George Peat, but surely the BoD deserve some credit for this bit of business?
