Game is now 110% up.
Plan of action?
• Sack Harper (winless in all his games) • Draft in a few experienced carthorses (they’re out there) • Go toe-to-toe with EK/Cove/Whoever

As things stand, Jordie, EK/Cove/Brora etc, will never have an easier passage into the SPFL.

Berwick have 3 games in hand and are 7 points clear. We can’t win. Facts are facts and Kevin Harper now has a worse record than John Brogan. He has never managed a team to get 3 points in senior football. Even the most optimistic fan would have to concede that if we do not get 3 points on 1st March it’s game over, and i agree with Grant that EK/Cove will never have it easier.

Curtains !!!!! Its over !!! Even a win tonight would have still left us a mountain to climb but couldnt even manage it. We rode our luck, woodwork a few times etc. Said last week on another thread, Harper will walk away from this mess in my opinion. Positivity in propaganda interviews will only get you so far. This is the night for me the ship has finally sank. Previous posts re play-off outcome bang on.

There's one good thing to come out of last night. It finally kills off any lingering hope for the head in the clouds brigade about us catching Berwick.
It's been obvious for months so finally we can all agree with what our targets are :-
1) Assemble some sort of team with a bit of guts to prevent us from being steam rollered in the play offs.
2)A Striker
3)A manager who can achieve (1) and (2).I would have loved this to have been KH but it quite clearly isn't.

The game is definitely up. Is there an apetite or drive in the Rovers boardroom to sack KH and have one last throw of the dice to bring in a coach who can motivate this bunch. I would say not, with respect we didn't have the leadership when one member of the 4 man committee went off on his own to appoint Brogan.
Who could we bring in? I'm thinking Paul Martin/Ciaran Donnelly combination to get some fire in the bellies.

`I would say not, with respect we didn't have the leadership when one member of the 4 man committee went off on his own to appoint Brogan. `
And there is exactly the crux of the matter.....

I did mention Paul Martin and Ciaran earlier in the season when it was obvious the good ship JB had run aground.
I don't think it's too late because we are not asking anyone to save us from bottom just get a group of players assembled to make a fist of 2 games.

Can`t see any managerial changes taking place...not after the way Chairman Eddie Haggerty lavished praise on the current appointee at the AGM

You're probably right and possibly too late to make another change. Of course, Harper may resign to protect what's left of his reputation. When he got the job he was on a hiding to nothing. Save us and he's a hero, fail and he had nothing to work with. However he was given increased funds and the team in the park is his as is the failure now. Maybe he should do a brogan and ask as I doubt he will be sacked.

at this stage I say give Ciaran the job, bring in Gemmell who we know is keen even if it's as part of the backroom and see if we can get some kind of momentum going in the next 2 months to survive in the playoff. in short it's go for broke time
