I know who Drummyboy is (it's obvious from his email address) and can confirm he is a former director. I suspect he accidentally omitted his name from the message - I'll contact him to suggest he may wish to do so.

So Mark Millar backs fan ownership Saw that earlier on Twitter. I would reign in your expectations at this point. Mark has previously intimated that he is prioritising local projects particularly in the area he was brought up - Townhead.

So Mark Millar backs fan ownership He might back it but I doubt he would put much in if any at all, as bucky said he tends to do alot of charity and community work in townhead

Fan owned, Edinburgh City ...financial problems.....https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-club-hit-with-cash-crisis-as-christmas-wages-issue-emerges-4436709 To be fair, this has been on the cards since their major financial backer pulled the plug, Earlier in the season they openly stated the only reason they could keep going was through director loans It's a club I've never had much time for, and fully believe teams like kelty, bonnyrigg and cove will all go the same way

Hello, long term lurker, first time poster.
I am primarily a Partick Thistle fan, but have been going to see the Rovers for about a decade since me and my friends started together during the £10 season ticket season.
I was there for most of the League 2 winning season, including that day at Broadwood. Since then, I try and go whenever Thistle don’t have games on the same day as Rovers. Been there for a lot of ups and downs including the 4-4 against Hamilton AKA “Cliftanbull”, the cup tie against Celtic, the great escape and many of the games last season.
Anyway, the reason I post is we have had a pretty notable experience with fan ownership including organising protests to get rid of our board and get the shares. I am friends with most of the main figures within The Jags Foundation fan ownership group. If this is something you feel has legs, I can absolutely put you in touch with people from TJF who would gladly have chats with you about the process and give you a helping hand.
Without wanting to give you the condescending “Rovers are my big team” patter, the club has a big place in my heart with great memories and I am happy to help however I can.
David.

On its own fan ownership is not a cure all but it is an option that should be investigated and considered. The current situation is not sustainable - supporters, shareholders, Board members to some degree appearing to be at odds with each other. We need to be Albion Rovers United. (That is not a suggested name change.)

You make good points, Brian......except the last one....LOL.
What I would say.....whatever the solution to the current crisis is...time is of the essence.

I was wondering if there’s any update on this, Ronnie?
At the time of posting (December 2023) there was a significant response…but silence since? Seems unusual as there is, apparently, ongoing meetings with some hand-picked supporters?

Meeting at Cliftonhill re: fan ownership taking place tonight I believe.
Not really in the spirit of inclusion and transparency to have such gatherings behind closed doors, is it?
I do hope those concerned are keeping the Board of Directors and others who are involved at the ARFC (directly or indirectly) abreast of the discussions - although I doubt it.
