Another two signings (one of them ex Rover Eddie Ferns) by Clyde today....reckon they and Peterhead must be favourits to challenge for top spot. Experienced senior players who know the lower leagues well. Clyde must be showing a wee bit of ambition. Sh*t I shouldn’t say the bad word AMBITION, using a wee bit of tommy Sermanni caps locks there. Lets happy clap our way through the season. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Clyde seem to have money which is the big difference Paul. Danny Lennon himself must be on a fair whack.

Clyde seem to have money which is the big difference Paul. Danny Lennon himself must be on a fair whack. This isn’t about money Bucky. I know the club aren’t well off. But regardless of the players we pull in, the target should still be to win the league. Whether that’s realistic or not, we shouldn’t have a new manager coming in and saying mid table is the target. We should be trying to get the most out of the players, So aim high and don’t settle for second best.

Football without realism. There's one word for that - bankruptcy.

It’s not about realism. Where in your life have you done anything and the target for you has been to finish anything other than the best?

Jeezo Paul it isn't about money and now you say it isn't about realism. That's called Fantasy Football.

It’s ambition and the targets set By this manager. Regardless of how good or bad the players are the target should be to do the best we possibly can. Before a ball is kicked then the best we can do is win the league not a f*cking lacklustre boring mid table. Setting anyone a low target leaves it open for the mentality of ‘it doesn’t matter if we lose our expectation is to be shit anyways’.

This part stands out "Brogan wants to immediately bounce back and make Rovers a League One club again" “We want to win the league. We are in it to win it. “Failing that, a play-off place. We aren’t looking down the bottom. “We need to try and get straight up right away and we will give it our best shot

Let’s just hope that if we go through a sticky patch and ONLY end up top 6 that people don’t throw this particular quote back at him the way his other quote has before a ball has been kicked.

From a board perspective they have called this right. Restructure was inevitable giving the fall from League 1 and clearly the correct decisions have been made. My view is that there have been VERY tough decisions to make and the board have done that. I made my views clear after Meet the Manager event and I think the vision that has been set out is the best in the circumstances, not withstanding an oil rich investor from Qatar coming in, and I think the mix the Management Team are going for (pulling together) is the right one. Making it work is different altogether.
I'm trusting that each signing, no matter their background or experience, is the right signing for the squad, that they will make a difference and that the Management Team have done their homework. I'm expecting no box office signings so I will not be disappointed.
I do appreciate the point regarding ambition. I think there should be a clear message around a play off place, minimum. I do hope this is the message in the background though.
