Never seen such a universal damnation on the board. Says it all. All need to get the finger out or we'll be relegated and the club will die.

Agreed. I seriously fear for our future. Watch out for the gathering vultures...

Another minus from yesterday was our inability to adapt to playing on an artificial surface. Over the past few years we were always at our strongest on this type of surface at Airdrie/Hamilton/Alloa etc. It is used on more surfaces in Division 2 from when we were last there. The need to plan and adapt from grass to astro has to be measured and players need to have a greater awareness on bounce factor etc. All a massive learning curve that they need to grasp quickly.

Agree with most of what's been said about yesterday's performance except for one aspect - Edinburgh City look like a pretty decent League Two outfit to me with a strong defence and in Blair Henderson a Centre Forward who will bully defences and score goals at this level - if only we had one of those :-)
We have to remember that their budget this season was almost 2x ours.

We have to remember that their budget this season was almost 2x ours. Indeed, we are now paying the price of the financial incompetence of previous directors leaving the present guys with an utter mess to try and clean up whilst struggling to keep the club going.

There's a 2 page interview in the Sunday Mail today with John Brogan, states £60k budget and that there were players willing to sign for Rovers for less money than the minimum wage but of course they can't unless as proper amateurs.

Indeed, we are now paying the price of the financial incompetence of previous directors leaving the present guys with an utter mess to try and clean up whilst struggling to keep the club going. Whilst that is undoubtedly fair comment it was the current directors who appointed JB on his 'dream ticket' of recruiting from the lower leagues. I haven't come across anyone who thinks this is a good idea!! Even my mum who knows hee haw about L2 football (hold that thought, could be our next manager) raised an eyebrow when I spoke to her earlier today!

Shakey may well be right about Edinburgh on reflection. They didn't do much wrong yesterday. They'll come up against far sterner tests in the weeks ahead tbf.
That's another thing - there's no one who will fear coming to Cliftonhill this year based on performances so far. Apart from the home fans right enough.
I think it's pretty telling that we're on here after 1 league game and there's no one speaking up in defence of things. And nor should they be. That shows you how rank this whole situation is.

I said this to Chris yesterday, the people to blame are the halfwits who employed the manager. A manager who lets face hasn’t really managed at any sort of senior level. The junior ranks have been the lowest level of the juniors and where the majority of players were signed from so it’s not even better end of the junior teams they were signed from.
I always say ‘You buy cheap, you buy twice’... this appointment and the signing of players will cost the club a lot more than they realise.

Like i said in another comment about Barry, if the club can't afford a player/ players, that could turn/ help in anyway with these players we have or help with goals, us rover fans could take turns about and set up a plan to pay there wages.

We have a plan to help pay wages. The squad fund, separate thread on the message board. Individuals and the supporters trust pay in money every month to help.
