I would go onto coatbridge past and present on facebook, and see what people are saying about Albion Rovers. Why would anyone want to go and look at their opinion. The vast majority of the folk on that have never set foot inside the ground and have no interest whatsoever regarding our club. The only folk you need to listen to HarrisKid are the folks who attend the games. You’ll find most of them on this forum and I value their opinion an awful lot better than the opinions from wee Betty McGlumpher and Co who can relate to a story of Coatbridge and how many picture halls it used to have

Hadn't realised, no idea why, must be living in a bubble, that the 3 loanees are all teenagers! FFS, that's what's been brought in by way of experience, to improve and to steady the ship? Manager is absolutely clueless.
That's the final straw for me. He needs to go now.

Manager is absolutely clueless. That's the final straw for me. He needs to go now. I saw their signings announced on the clubs twitter feed, to be honest I did notice how young they were but thought they were being pitched in to the younger team. Then realised I was wrong as it was the first team for them. Nothing wrong with bringing in good young lads if they’ll make a difference to the team so only time will tell however it would have cheered me up a bit if one of them had been a striker.....

The atmosphere about the ground has all the vibe of a pre-season friendly and there is a quiet resignation from fans that bottom spot and relegation beckons.
How did we land where we are after the ££££££ of recent Scottish cup runs. I did bring this up here about the massive over spending only to get shot down on here so take no pleasure in being proved right.

Well, what can I say. First time season ticket holder and have now seen 12 goals in 2 games....all against us!! WTF. It must be soul destroying for the seasoned fans to be watching this. IMHO I saw some flashes of what, I think, the Manager is trying to achieve but too many individual errors, no effort/talent from half the team and the result says it all. As someone previously said the atmosphere was a bit flat and that may not have helped the youngsters out there. I think we need to make a bit more noise as it looks like there is some lacking in confidence which is spiralling downwards. Lots of signing, chanting and recognising good play (no matter how small) will go a long way in lifting spirits. Makes a massive difference. Given the amount of changes from last season's team I am giving John until the end of September. That's 6 more games and 13 competitive games in total (unlucky for some ). Plenty of time to turn this around and show that they are the right management team with the team of players that can secure the League spot. Play off spot to go back up looks way beyond us at the moment. Someone mentioned the Board. 9 Directors is an awful lot for a club of this size and whether or not the right structure is in place I have no idea. Is it right the Chairman wants to step down? I have seen Interim Chairman in the programme today. If the results do not turn positive then the Board need to make the right decision very quickly. As a first timer I THINK I can see what the plan is but that also concerns me as it isn't clear. However as I've said, 6 more competitive games to get positive results. Sitting bottom with no points and no goals with 13 competitive games behind us at the end of September is clearly unacceptable. In saying that, I'm backing the team fully and making a bit more noise to lift the spirits. The young guys must be shell shocked at the moment, they need backing. The announcer's patter is brilliant but its time he plugged his iTunes into the Tannoy system and get some songs playing. Time to party.... Has anyone got the Rovers songsheet?

The whole thing is a disaster. I can't quite believe it. To go from giving £10000 to charity to being just about bankrupt is horrific. Previous boards entirely to blame. The money from the Celtic match went entirely on paying huge debts. How did this happen? The club seems to be disappearing before my eyes at he moment. Third Lanark the second...And like I said before, just watch the vultures start to gather around.

Fair enough up to a point stew. But it’s the current board who appointed Brogan and it’s Brogan who signed the dross we’re watching today.

How can anyone get excited about a manager that doesn’t excite anyone? A manager who assembled a large group of ‘players’ from the lower end of junior football and that said group can’t pick a pass between themselves?
I go back to John Gemmell (I hear some saying “here we go again” lol), but he’s a character, would interact with the fans and get the fans up for it. Who from this current crop of players can do that? Who from that current crop of players actually cares? I assume they will just be enjoying the fact that someone’s gave them a chance at playing senior football.

I understand you’re hurting, let me assure you that every single person in the dressing room is too. So in answer to your question EVERY single one of them cares. You assume wrong, nobody is happy to just be here and finally how would you like them to interact with you when you write things like ‘players’?

So jaydee, good of you to come on here and give us the dressing room perspective. We'll see how that works out for you.
I've no doubt everyone in the dressing room hurts. I'd hurt too if I was being outplayed, outmuscled, out thought in every game and getting soundly horsed and bullied 4-0 and worse. And I'd be hurting even more if I'd been responsible for assembling this bunch.
Paul may well be hurting - I've no idea and no doubt he'll be along here soon to tell us. But for me personally I'm not hurting; I'm f*cking raging. This is a flawed exercise and a completely failed experiment. It's unfathomable that anyone who has been in the game for a number of years can 'assume' that a group of average-ish junior players are capable of competing in L2. And we're watching the proof unfold in front of our eyes. If you and John and the rest were being honest with yourselves you'd come clean on that. It's obvious the guys aren't good enough for this level. That's not being unfair or unkind; it's a fact.
So whilst you may be hurting and care at the moment, your hurt and care is temporary. You and the rest (barring a miracle) will be here for 12 months (fewer than that if we're lucky) and then you'll be gone. For the rest of us on this forum we'll be left with, well, whatever is left of the club at that stage. So cheers for that.

Your post sums it up better than I possibly could have put down in words. I’d have probably have used a few more profanities. If they are hurting, do you not think it’s time to show it and leave it all on the pitch so fans don’t put in here that they look like they aren’t interested? Or is it, the ‘players’ just aren’t good enough for the level being asked to play?

Not sure the club physio having a pop at a paying customer who expects better is particularly fair. Interesting, but not fair.

Wasn’t having a go at all, and he has every right to expect better.Just didn’t think it was right to put ‘players’ that was all. However if you prefer I won’t bother posting on here. 👍🏼
