As there is no millionaire on a white horse around all we need us stability without egos on the board. It's not perfect but thats what we have at the moment and they have the interests of the club at heart. There is little appetite for board changes amongst those who go week in, week out only managerial.

I trust you will still be saying that when Rovers are plying their trade in the Lowland League next season

So what do you suggest? Where's your white horse and millions? Easy to come on here and put the boot in from afar. At least I go to the games. As Jimmy Sandison used to say. Were you at the game? In fact, when were you last at a game. Perhaps you should get out more and away from your computer/phone. If we end up in the lowland league or bust the blame will go back through a series of regimes and a disinterested town. Those currently in charge are fans doing there utmost to keep the club afloat. What are you doing other than putting them down? Nothing. Sick and tired of listening to your unproductive ranting. Get a life

Zzzzzzz. No one knows what any of us will or can do but most of us don't feel the need to brag about it.

I wish Ronnie well & thank him for his time and efforts especially when the club were in the crap with the bank and a few of the charlatans who loved the ego trip shot the crow. However having said that, the fact that he compared John Brogans reign to Sir Alex (note not Alec ) Ferguson’s reign at Man Utd. Did he not realise by 87 SAF had won several league titles , Scottish & league cups not too mention a Cup Winners Cup v Real Madrid in final , beating Bayern Munich on the way. He also won the super cup v European cup holders Hamburg. He earned that bloody time, and was clearing out the drinking culture at Utd with the chairman’s backing. Brogan was clearing out Wishaw & Lanark juniors unwanted players with Ronnies backing. The club may be more financially sound at the present most Meng but the dangers we face are up there with the worst we’ve ever seen on the back of a single appointment that anyone with a mediocre knowledge of Scottish football knew was a disaster. Ronnie will go down as one of the guys who stepped up to save the Rovers, however he may go down as one of the people who caused them to die

He can’t walk away with a happy clappy well done. If he had balls he would have made a stance against this loan everyone talks about and also wouldn’t have allowed the JB shit show to happen or let it happen for so long.

Maybe Ronnie was on the board Paul, but without knowing the specifics I wouldn’t criticise him for that. Maybe he didn’t vote for loan but was outnumbered, who knows. You may be correct and he was culpable , however at least he hung around to sort it. What I’d love to know is what the rest of the board contribute, and that’s not a dig as they may well contribute financially or something, but there’s names like Benton etc who we hear very little of. At least Ronnie has always put himself up to be shot at.

So if you disagreed with something that your knew would potentially cripple your club, would you have hung around? Surely the decision would be to walk away and not be part of anything like that? Make a stance against it and make everyone aware of what was going on.

I thought these comments would spark a mixed reaction.
For me, and i stress 'just me' I'd like to thank Ronnie for his time and commitment to our club during his tenure. Its unfortunate his stepping down has co-incided with the almost disaterous position we find ourselves in. The appointment of JB has been a gamble that has simply went horribly wrong and ronnie will be man enough to admit that and will no doubt be eating away at him. That said, i haven't, and still don't, see the masses queuing up muiryhall street to take over. Easy to shout advice behind a keyboard. Its a time consuming position and in the present climate often utterly thankless. Ive always found ronnie completely approachable and conduct himself with the upmost proffesionalism with the club in his heart. We have no delorian to go back and change this. Good luck to Ronnie in the future.
Just my opinion.
