Hearts and Partick Thistle have been told that their fight against relegation must go to arbitration and will not be heard by the Court of Session.
The clubs were told that an arbitration panel convened by the Scottish Football Association should consider the case.
The clubs had taken legal action after they were relegated when Scottish Professional Football League member clubs voted to cut short the 2019/20 season and decide prizes, promotion and relegation on a point-per-game basis.
Hearts and Thistle sought to cancel that ruling.

Excellent news!
Sensible outcome to go with the same arrangement as League 1.
Maybe even allows time for Millers coaches to be viable for away games!!!

From the DR online:
Colin Woodward quoted:
"We hope that if we are left without fans come October it won't be for too long, and we feel like we could quite easily get fans to distance in our ground.
"If football goes on for months without fans we would be up s*** creek
"We are on a totally different scale from the Old Firm and the Premiership sides. We have a capacity of 1500 and our average attendance last season was 301.
"Even if we had a reduced capacity it would allow us to survive. Even without fans the big guys will be fine; Rangers and Celtic can sell subscriptions to their TV channels to stream, or have other income streams.
Our lifeblood is totally fan supported, and we feel confident that we could have a socially distanced stadium with around 500 fans."
Woodward added that the club have been in discussions about streaming their fixtures if the stands are empty for the reduced 27-game season.

It's a bonkers situation that cinemas will soon be reopening but football grounds like ours are having these problems. The decision making is completely warped and led by big business.

Makes no sense whatsoever: we can go to the beer garden at Big Owen's but not go to Cliftonhill? Sense will win the day I hope.

The Beeb are saying:
Fingers crossed for a fully attended Cliftonhill in October as we have some excess space anyway!

So hopefully with the league starting in October. When would season tickets go on sale and what would the price be as it would be a shorter season?

I think there should be an option to pay for the normal full season ticket irrespective of the number of matches played. Those who want to could pay this to help the club. I'm sure many would do likewise. And I hope the very successful online 5050 draw starts back early August, again to help club funds.

There’s always the option to overpay for a season ticket!

Would like to see the club develop the 50-50 draw lottery online - there is definitely a market there
