Glad to see that Rovers have made no mention of the game on the club website since the draw was made. Also no mention on their Twitter or even the fixture list. Sorry if I’ve spilled the beans and some fans might actually go along and pay money, a share of which Rovers get! Shhhhhh! Roy, given that you are the most reliable source of online Rovers-related info, surely the official ARFC website should hire you as a roving reporter? Not being facetious, serious suggestion. |

I'd second that! His dad Maxwell did that for many years in the 80's & 90's and sent me many of his reports.

I've tried twice to put this on, so hoping it goes this time. Whoopeee..a convincing win at last. 3 goals plus 1 own one.......well, we're hitting the net, so hope this gives the players confidence for all our next games. I'm only sorry I wasn't there but health problems keeping me from going far just now. AR ARF ARFC...OK!!

Surely this HAS to be a resounding Rovers victory today! I'll go for 4-0 to us to march into the 3rd round. Not far off, Prof!! As nobody predicted for the extra-time it was quite far off Alasdair. We played reasonably well in the first half and should of course scored more than the one goal, GU were somewhat disorganised. As for the second half GU looked better organised and Rovers looked like they'd never met eachother. Thankfully things changed in extra-time when Rovers scored early on from the spot and GU just seemed to crumble from then on. I'm crossing my fingers for a wee trio to Wick in the next round  As for organisation at the stadium it was woeful. Yes they allowed pay at the gate despite saying it wasn't available and only had a single turnstile open for a crowd which seemed around 500 which caused queues and it seemed some fans missed kick-off due to this. I note they relented on the programme price and charged £3 not the fiver they advertised. |

Shambles. Arrived in plenty of time. Guy couldn't scan tickets at the gate. Missed kick off. It's the future..... Aye right!

Glad to be through, but that second half display was as poor as I've seen in a long time. Could grumble on for ages over how poor that second half was but everyone knows how bad it was. We won't get away with it against teams that aren't so bad themselves.

We’re in the third round draw which is the main thing. Draw is on Monday at 4. I see Wick are still in it!! I would take another university team to be honest but will probably end up with somebody like Formartine away.

Storming first half, should have buried them.
Ref was woeful. 7 bookings - not a dirty game.
Poor Bonnyrigg and Stranraer. Heart bleeds for them. Brechin took the league leaders to the wire. Strange times.
