Regarding some comments on the likely fee, I don't see why a Premier League club wouldn't pay at least £50,000 for a great young talent like Joe. Hopefully there are some good add-ons that will take it well above that figure. Fee significantly less than what you quoted above...still any contribution to the Rovers depleted coffers is to be welcomed.

Assuming we will get a fee, maybe worth acknowledging the foresight of the Board and Ian Benton for recognising his talent and signing Joe up?

Brian Reid, Sandy and George deserve the recognition for Joe getting his move to Burnley, Albion Rovers is a great club for young players, Ross Stewart, Charlie Reilly and now Joe Bevan, hope we see more players like them come through the doors

There would be a lot of work behind the scenes to get this deal sealed by the present board and management to the benefit of the player and the club. The moves of Joe Bevan, Charlie Reilly, Ross Stewart and Connor Shields are great adverts for what is possible to achieve by coming to Cliftonhill. It would be also fair to give a great deal of credit to former reserve team coach Graeme Liveston who first spotted Joe playing for Afro Scots against our reserve team and strongly recommended to the board and club secretary that they look at Joe and sign him. All the best to Joe at Burnley and for the rest of his career. That interview is a credit to himself, his family and all who have mentored him in his football career to date. Ronnie

I understand Joe`s former club Camelon Juniors will get a cut of the fee (10% ?) as part of the sell on clause when he signed for Rovers

Good luck to Joe and a good advert for the club. I noticed in the last couple of months a few posts about Joe not trying….they must be watching a different match to me.

I see that Joe played the full 90 minutes tonight of Burnley's Under 21 game at home to Fulham. It ended 1-1 and Joe wasn't their scorer.

I don't think the term grass roots football is derogatory in anyway and yes I suppose that is where we are now . Last year we may have occupied the lower echelons of Scottish league football.

Manager " Joe's came from grass routes football" Is that what we are seen as ? It also means he hasn’t came through the academy system.. (the modern day pro youth system). There are a few lads who didn’t do it that way and went onto to have successful careers . Jamie Vardy being one of them

This does appear to be a modern day issue where the academies at the "big clubs" can seemingly cherry pick a lot of talent from "lower league" clubs with very little money changing hands. Swansea have lost a lot of good youngsters lately to Premier League academies thus losing any potential big transfer fees further down the line.
