CSS currently occupy 6th place in the table with 40 points from 24 games whereas Rovers are 13th in the league with 27 points from 19 matches played.
This is just the second meeting of Rovers and CSS, the first was in the Scottish Cup on 2nd January 1999 away at Christie Gillies Park. Rovers won that game 3-0 and my abiding memories of it were lots of mud on and around the pitch which had no facilities such as cover IIRC and that CSS kicked lumps out of us the whole game as evidenced by the stats which show they were shown 7 yellow and 1 red card during the 90 mins. Thankfully their ground has seen significant improvements in the intervening 25 years.
Rovers team that day was:
M McLean, G Duncan, N McGowan, J McStay, J Hamilton, J McLees, E Bottiglieri, M Melvin, I Diack, D Lorimer, E Donaldson Subs not used: M Harty, R Greenock, G Sturrock
I must be getting old as I remember all of those players which is better than I do recent sides with the exception of Gary Sturrock who featured in 21 games that season, around half of which as a sub. I presume he was related to Paul Sturrock but as far as I can see he's not Paul's son.
The match report from that game is below:

STROLLERS turned bruisers yesterday as they were turfed out of the Cup.
Rovers' Jim Hamilton scored a goal and made another - but the busiest man on the park was ref Colin Hardie.
He booked Strollers Graeme Dallas, Stuart Smith and Bryan Temple in the first 35 minutes.
And team-mates Colin Scott, Graham Wood, Brian Davies and Paul Weather- stone all joined them in his book before Danny Curran saw red 11 minutes from time.
It was only the second occasion Strollers had been hosts to League opposition - and they were intent on leaving their mark, even it if it was on the Albion players' LEGS.
Their manager Dougie Caddow admitted he was gutted by the result.
He said: "For 35 minutes we were really in it. If we'd kept the score level until half-time I honestly think we could have gone on to win the game with the wind on our side.
"We had two or three chances in their penalty box at the start of the second- half, but we allowed them to keep clearing it.
"I was disappointed to see us lose our discipline but we have enjoyed our Cup run."
The Strollers managed to contain the visitors for 37 minutes. Then keeper Peter Tomassi cleared a dangerous ball, knocking it out to the left of his goal.
Rovers took the throw quickly and the ball fell to Jim Hamilton whose superb, curling right-foot effort beat the keeper.
The cheer from the visiting support must have been a new experience for the home side.
Club chairman Bill Christie had earlier said the club were usually happy to have a crowd of 20 let alone the 240 who watched yesterday.
Strollers, however, suffered again two minutes later when Martin Melvin added Albion's second.
Euan Donaldson's free-kick from the left was met in the middle by the midfielder who glanced a header past the despairing Tomassi.
Strollers put Albion keeper Mark McLean under pressure in the first few minutes after the break.
However, they couldn't keep things going and it was no surprise when Ian Diack scored the third.
In 65 minutes Dave Lorimer fed the ball to Hamilton who sent over a cross with the outside of his foot and Diack slotted home.
Albion boss Billy McLaren said: "It was a potentially awkward game for us coming to a place like this.
"Jim Hamilton's opening goal was magnificent and getting a second so soon after it really helped us.
"And with all respect to them we could have had six or seven out there.
"I'm not too bothered about who we get in the next round but we're a small club and wouldn't mind a big team to put some money in the bank.
"There's no shame in admitting that."
