Hobson’s choice. Camel trek or LL biggest spenders remain.
Stranraer doing a scarily imitation of last season’s Rovers team. What a bunch of pea hearts we had.

There are a few other SPFL clubs who don't as yet have the bronze licence, most notably Airdrie who could be a premier side next season. These others do appear to be on track to obtain them by the ultimate deadline which appears to be 1st July after having had a grace period.

I can’t see Edinburgh City meeting the requirements tbh, they’re skint, looks like a trip to Meadowbank next season

They may not survive to join the LL

When you think the LL couldn't get any worse and suddenly a trip to Meadowbank is potentially on the cards 🤦

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the licensing after this years round of reviews are completed. There are 3 categories that need to be met at Bronze to attain Bronze overall, Ground, First Team, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. The current situation for clubs who only have ENTRY level is as follows (as far as I can establish from the SFA website). www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/11172/sfa-club-licensing-manual-2024.pdfAirdrie, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. Cove, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. Kelty, First Team, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. Peterhead, First Team, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. Edinburgh C, Ground, First Team, Legal/Admin/Finance/Codes. The treatment of Buckie has opened the door to any of those 5 clubs being excluded, if the SFA and SPFL stand strong. Will be interesting to see the outcome. www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/11752/240424-club-licensing-awards.pdf

Interesting that no club in the Highland League currently meets the BRONZE level and only East Kilbride and Cumbernauld Colts of current Lowland League clubs do.
As licensing levels stand, if East Kilbride succeed in the playoff against Stranraer next week and neither Cumbernauld nor Stranraer win the LL next season, club 42 in League 2 at that time will not be relegated.
So much for the pyramid and sporting integrity.

The whole thing was a stitch up to get rid of certain clubs including us and then pull up the drawbridge. Rotten to the core.

Clubs have until 31st March to satisfy or be allowed "derogations" to requirements, they don't have to have a bronze licence at the start of the season in which they win the league. EK didn't have a bronze licence till just before they won the league and I'm sure that Brechin would have met the requirement or may well have already done so but will be awarded their bronze later (I believe EK were given theirs ahead of the usual award date.)

Strong rumours that Edinburgh City facing expulsion very soon. they’ve made a statement saying they’re confident they’ll get license but according to former Rovers player John Gemmell they’ll be kicked out the SPFL this week, honestly at this no point god knows what will happen
