Well said sir. Yeh it’s easy to criticise and while we are at it let’s not forget the other lads that were signed. Time will tell if they will deemed to have done a good job but it’s not their fault they were signed. Given the opportunity to play at a higher level who wouldn’t snap it up. So as Tommy says let’s have enough bickering, there ain’t a lot that we can do but try and support these young boys through a bad spell.

I remember a young John Balavage at 19 been flung in at the deep end and he went on to have a good career in Scottish Football. This is a deep learning curve for all the lads without a Father figure on the field to guide them or support them. This needs to come from the support off the pitch and I agree with the previous comment - we should support them and give them as much encouragement as possible and hope that they mature like fine wine !

Yip....remember John Balavage well, lovely lad, nice family who went to all his games. I was on day release at Glasgow College (now Caledonian University) - he worked at Buchannan House (BR Scottish Headquarters) and used to see him at the Iron Horse pub on lunchbreaks.

I've just dusted down my old trumpet and here goes;
Rab McCulloch from Bellshill Athletic Juniors - £10k received from Hamilton Accies
Scott Shearer from Tower Hearts U21s - £40k received from Coventry City
and the best that I have uncovered, Derek Gaston from Blantyre Vics U21s then moved mid season to Baillieston Juniors U21s (I have to admit that Tommy Cooper arranged for him to come to training before I had made an approach to his manager).
Trumpet back in the velvet box.

Hopefully the young goalie has more sense to come on here and read this stuff. In our most desperate hour when we should be sticking by the players for such a crucial game on Saturday what are doing ? Having a pop at a 19 year old goalie. Dear oh dear. He may be raw and have been thrust into 1st team action sooner than he or us would have liked but that is hardly the players fault. He has been surrounded by a leaky defence and a non existent midfield that have all contributed to our poor form but what do we do? Pick on a goalie who at least has the guts to stay at the club whilst others manufactured their own reasons for deserting the ship. It's a cowardly thing to do and to be honest I expect more of Rovers fans than this. From the QP highlights I saw the scoreline would have been worse if not for him. Get behind the guy and give him a break. Brilliant post, well said. He's a young keeper and can only get better. Hopefully I'll be praising him again after a victory on Saturday

Indeed Robert has named a few cracking `keepers that we have had over the years (ones he found), also don`t forget Jim Brown who went on to be `capped` for Scotland. Best wishes to Danny, hopefully, in the fullness of time he can join those illustrious names

Well, in a few hours time the opportunity to strengthen our squad will have closed until the end of the year. Our BOD and manager obviously think our squad doesn`t need strengthening...quite strange when we are rooted to the bottom of the league...but then again we are only supporters and don`t rate a comment from those in charge.

Didnt expect anything to be done tbh but it was nice to hope. Looking like we are stuck with what we have till January at earliest and even then could it be too little too late as damage could be done plus if theres no money now why would there be any in January. We just dont look like coming good soon with what we have at this present time.

Rovergrant where do u think the cash will come from to fund these experience players we need, it's already stated we're over budget already. I can't see anything happening, I hope I'm wrong

No, you are not wrong, but I had (as most of us had) hoped that in the past week, the BOD could have found some source of funding to strengthen the team...they sent the `begging bowl` out in late 2016...then came the Celtic game `miracle windfall`. Seems like they view LL as an inevitable climax to the season... but I truly hope I am wrong. It`s the total silence from the club which is really getting to me (and others)

As I understand it there are 8 members of the BOD, why can`t even one of them come on this message board - it is the principal way of communicating with supporters - and make a statement as to where the Club stands at this time of crisis and what steps are being taken to try and improve things. Or have they all retreated into the boardroom `bunker`.... and we all know from history how that ended.

We can still sign players. The window only applies to transfers between clubs which I doubt we would take part in

The deadline has come and gone. No new signings, what we’ve got is what we’ve got, whether we’re happy with it or not. Whoever we want to blame for it (board, manager etc) it’s where we are. These are the players and staff we’ve to trust with ensuring out survival. Getting on their backs isn’t going to help. Let’s get behind them from now until the end of the season. Once survival’s ensured (if it is) we can play the blame game. I’m ok with being called a “happy clapper”, believe me I’m not. I’ve been back and forth about what should happen. I’ve only been an active supporter for 4 years but the current predicament gets to me, so I can only imagine what the lifelong fans are thinking.
I’ve paid for my season ticket so what’s the harm in not turning up to the games? The club still have my money. The truth is I want to go to the games, win, lose or draw. I’ll be there tomorrow with my friend from East Kilbride who has no relation to the club whatsoever, knows the current situation with the team yet still contacted me about going along.
Apologies for the ramble. I don’t post a lot but felt I needed to say it.

I thing with the money problems, and no new players as yet, john Brogan needs to come up with a plan with the players we have at the moment, this is a junior team we have, there up in the big league now, its been very hard for them at this pace, and time will tell, if its not to late, we need points on the board, at this time, and bad to. It doesn't really matter what way we play at this time, if we pass the ball or punt the ball up the park, if there's a player in the right place at the right time to score a goal i'll take that, it's points that count at this time, and also when/or if we score a goal/ or goals we have to close up shop, keep the other teams from scoring and keeping our goal area clear and safe, it can be done, so hope john and his back room staff pay notice, getting the boys into a way that fighting for points would do very nice.
