Was sent this from one of my mates
The SFA have sent over the detailed proposal for the Conference League and below we have laid out some of the key parts of the document.
The first season would be season 2024-25 with the division comprising 10 teams: four Premiership B-teams, the top four of the Lowland League in 2023-24 (outwith the B-teams) and the top two from the Highland League in 2023-24.
B-teams couldn’t be promoted or relegated. The highest-placed non-B team would face the side which finishes bottom of League Two in a pyramid play-off.
The lowest-placed non-B team would be relegated with the winners of the Highland and Lowland League competing in a play-off to replace them.
The loser of the play-off between the Highland and Lowland League winners would then face the second lowest-placed non-B team in a play-off.
Participation fees from the-B teams would fund the division with the six non-B teams likely to receive a payment of around £40,000 per year.
The-B teams would need to commit to being in the Conference League for a minimum of five years and would need to field seven players eligible to play for Scotland in every starting XI and include 11 Scotland eligible players in each matchday squad.

This has got to be the most ridiculous and awful idea in the history of Scottish football. Crazy!!!!

Whats not to like, a league with only six teams in it and a free bribe. Brilliant.

I mean, it's tempting for any team above the new Conference tier to vote in favour, right? It's a barrier to falling back into the competitive Highland/Lowland, 40k per season? However, the impact on fans, meaningless fixtures and barrier for clubs below this level is immense and part of the main reason it should not pass.
Is there an official stance from the club on this? I hope clubs colloborate and unite to stop this proposal. I'd like to see this used a way to open up the pyramid, WOSFL, Lowland League, into League Two needs to have more automatic promotion and relegation.

I would not attend any fixtures against 'B' teams under any circumstances.

Aberdeen who were to be one of the 4 B teams have announced they won’t be taking part.

The latest madness is the arrogant, homeless Queen's Park now announcing they are wanting to put a 'B' team in. Oh FFS!!!!!

Aberdeen pulled out because of the cost. I doubt that queen's park despite their bung will be able to afford it. And they'll be to busy trying to find a new manager to pull on the blazer!

The BoD were asked about their policy towards this. They don't have one but 2 directors did say they were opposed to it personally and they were urged to consult fans.

The board must get a policy soon. Almost all supporters are totally against this utter farce, and many other clubs have already declared their complete opposition to the control of football by bribery and the bigot twins.
