He left us in the lurch a few years ago to take up as assistant manager at Accies and was bumped very quickly by them for reasons I'll not go into. He won his case against them for unfair dismissal

Omg some of the names mentioned so far are severly lacking ambition. Gary bollan lol
Thought I would throw this one into the ring - Jim Mcintyre.
The board have said they are looking for an experienced manager and he has worked for Dunfermline, QOS, Ross County and was a Scottish league cup winner with Ross County were he was harshly sacked. As a salesman for 20 years I must say there is no harm in asking him as if you don't ask you don't get. If he says no then I would agree with Chris and try and get Jim Duffy.
I think the club have done the right thing in advertising the position to gauge interest and I think there are a few great candidates out there who will apply for it.

The board have said they are looking for an experienced manager he has worked for Dunfermline, QOS, Ross County and was a Scottish league cup winner with Ross County were he did a better job than Owen Coyle and he's currently available. As a salesman for 25 years I must say there is no harm in asking if he says no I agree with I would go with Chris and try and get Jim Duffy. Some good names along with Ian Murray. Don't think the other names lack ambition, they are probably a bit more realistic with what our budget might attract.

Some great names mentioned here although personally the thought of Gary Bollan as our new manager makes me break out in a cold sweat.
Think the closing date for Twitter...I mean applications..... is Wednesday.
I understand our money situation but a lot of these guys are currently at home, twiddling their thumbs and watching repeats of "Cagney & Lacey" so why shouldn't we aim high ?
The appointment of Brian Kerr was high risk and ultimately doomed to fail.
Let's get this appointment right.

Well, today`s the last day when applications for the position of team manager will be accepted. Let us hope that there is some quality EXPERIENCED names amongst them and that the BOD make the right decision quickly and that rebuidling a team that can compete in League 2 can begin.

I can't see us getting anyone of note.
Heard that Jim Chapman and Martin Lauchlan (ex EK boss) have applied.
Chapman would be a step backward for me - did a good job for Rovers but left under acrimonious terms.
Wouldn't be against a younger manager who has cut his teeth at a lower level as long as they can get the best out of the small budget we have.

Jamie McKenzie who applied previously has just been handed the Gartcairn job, they were promoted a few weeks ago.

I'd certainly prefer not having Chapman back, Houston would be a good choice IMO but can't see it happening somehow.
