It was mentioned when JB got the job that David Robertson (ex Rangers and Aberdeen defender) and Brian Reid as well as Ian Murray applied for the job according to the Daily Record. Whether it is true or not who knows.

'It may be that ultimately the only way to re-finance the club will be to sell the ground' That was a very informative and thoughtful post Grant until that last bit. There are legions of non-league English clubs where that has happened and they have ended up in a worse position or gone bust afterwards. I was involved with one such club (Cambridge City) which has been homeless for the last 6 years and only survives due to the deep pockets of a supportive chairman. Even if you were right, given recent history, there is no guarantee that money from any sale of the ground would be spent wisely. Look in Scotland too - Airdrie and Clydebank went bust after losing their grounds. The current version of Airdrie are a shadow of the former club since they are hamstrung by the rent they have to pay on a stadium they don't own. The same goes for Clyde. East Stirling lost their ground too - and eventually their league status. Ownership of the ground is the one big asset we have. If the ground goes we might as well give up there and then, as the club will go at some point afterwards. It would be better to be in the Lowland League and still own the ground.

Would like to think it will never happen in my lifetime, Rab........but given the current situation we can never say never

· The Board of Directors took the decision to appoint Brogan and, as such, the buck stops with them if things do not improve. Jordie. Be interesting to know in JB`s appointment was a unanimous decision by the BOD.......doubt if we will ever find that out though

There are no examples of a club of our size or similar selling their ground to raise money/pay debts, then renting and prospering. Only massive clubs such as Man City and West Ham have done it, but they have the income streams to pay £2m rent a year.

If Cliftonhill ever went, I would not set foot elsewhere. And we know the 'elsewhere' would be Airdrie: the club would cease to exist if that ever happened as far as I am concerned. Forget it!

In response to goodrover-ill "bite",and note his comments. We Rover's fans do not revel in the current situation the club finds itself in,and feed off the negativity. We are the lifeblood of the club who care enough to not let the club go under-and if having an opinion is an offence-then I'm guilty as charged. Without us folk who actually don't ask a lot-(the bad times far outweigh the good times at the Rover's)-but we are always still there. The forum is here as always to present a multitude of differing opinions-and who is to say who should and should not hold an opinion?. At the risk of upsetting another delicate flower on here I'm absolutely in agreement with Stephen71.

At least i'm not going to get tagged as being a Jonah this season and be blamed for crap performances/results. That'll make a change.

Aldo - your reluctance to accept responsibility for any failing on the team's part is noted. That's a disgrace. You should be 100% behind the team which includes taking a bullet for them, being a scapegoat and not stepping on any cracks in the pavement. I hope you'll go to your room and think about what you've just done. Come back when you're ready to reconsider.

Like everyone I am not enjoying the season thus far. Tuesday night result poor but signs of hope, surely. Maybe, I am not sufficiently scarred by what you have been watching! Highlights from Tuesday game. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nslb3f7kd_ENot been to a match this season, and this is the first highlights I have seen, nice goal, several other chances created, first goal lost unlucky, bounced into players path, defensive issues at second and third. Here comes the happy clappy bit, look on the bright side! Not the worst Rovers performance I have ever seen.

This is a fantastic thread brilliantly opened by Jordie. Some massive and genuine concerns on here. Can the Admin make this a "sticky" to remain at the top of the board. It is a period of darkness at the moment and given the trap door at the end of the season we need to keep or voices heard. Keep it a sticky until the results turn, hope they do and soon. Brilliant thread.

At the risk of upsetting another delicate flower on here I'm absolutely in agreement with Stephen71. D7 snidey as ever I see. To address Stephen71 when he says "We Rovers fans", what does he mean? Surely he is not the voice of all Rovers fans? He doesnt represent me and not all Rovers fans are up for sacking a manager after three league games. Especially when judging from the threads here its about the boards mistakes from the past couple of years if anything. Why mention "We Rovers fans" and talk about money like the rest of us dont pay in and contribute in other ways. Ridiculous. All fans are lifeblood not just those who agree with you. The club wont discriminate my £££ to yours. It seems to be those who want to sack everyone around them think they can insinuate those who disagree are happy clappers but accept no challenge to their own opinion. what type of forum does that make this? Just agree with the panick merchants who shout the loudest? Yes its worrying for the club on and off the pitch but I support the club. My hard earned money goes in and if rightly or wrongly I feel the manager deserves a chance/want to believe in the team, then I am, as Stephen says, Guilty as Charged!
