Cannot quite fathom the whole gaffer sitting on the bench whilst his number 2 barks out orders on the edge of the touch line. As Paul stated above, we made a bang average QP side look like a competent side.
I've been going to rovers games on and off the a couple of years now and this is the worst I've seen......by a long shot.
Hate managers getting sacked prematurely but I can't believe this guy still has a job. The margin of our losses and the lack of any team identity in terms of a style of football is enough for anyone to get the sack.
Sincerely A despondent rover.

I can't defend that today. As much as I would like to find positives I can't. Potts made two fantastic saves and even saved a penalty but was very poor on both goals. No intensity in the play at all and as Grant says couldn't win a corner let alone a chance on goal.
Organisation, winning second ball, simple passing, composure, intensity, and threat totally absent. I noticed one run of any note, the players looked terrified to take any responsibility to open things up. We seemed to loose it with any contact with a QP player.
How it was kept at two I dont know. I have wanted too believe so much these boys can improve but the performance today if you can call it that just took any hope out of me. I thought time would help them adjust to the pace of the league but I was very wrong.
Best entertainment was with one of our fans bantering with the Queens Park fans. The Guardian readers comments was brilliant lol
My fear is that even by getting in a new manager there would need to be a miracle to get them to play to anything like League 2 standard.

we were s***e. Fish best player in a rovers shirt but even he wasn't good enough. Potts kept the score low again. Brogan should go tonight.

A whole lot of realism on here already and it's just gone 6 o'clock. No doubt one or two will be along shortly to redress the balance. Suffice to say I haven't changed my mind on a single thing I've said on here so far. Today was as bad as it gets.
We took the game to QP for the first 10 minutes or so - starting the way we have started the last few games. There is no end product though and you know it won't last.
I hate to say it about Wharton because I like him as a footballer and he looks scary as f*ck as well but he cannot make a pass. He's not alone btw. I lost count of the number of long balls played into 'space' that were aimed at no one and ended up going out of play. On Hampden's massive pitch too.
The first QP goal when it came actually came from a poor Wharton pass that was intercepted. The ball got played forward and their guy hit a decent enough effort from just outside the box. Potts in goals got a hand to it but couldn't keep it out. He's too wee to be a keeper I'm afraid and should have saved that one.
Tbf to Potts he made some great saves after that. QP had a volley on the turn that looked as if it was going in but Potts somehow managed to get down to it and push it away. He then saved another effort with his legs which really was a sitter for QP. QP also hit the post/bar in the first half with a decent effort that curled in from the edge of the box.
After the first 10 minutes or so it really was one way traffic. Another goal was coming for QP and sure enough it arrived just before half time. Some more slack defending left the QP player with plenty of space and he hit a decent effort which I think took a deflection so I wouldn't be blaming Potts for that.
Into the second half and disaster almost straight away. QP were well on top and a great ball played along the 6 yard box saw Eley allegedly trip their guy as he was about to pull the trigger. I couldn't see if he made contact or not and it will be interesting to see the highlights. Regardless, it was a red if the ref saw it that way. A poor penalty hit straight at Potts was nonetheless decently saved. Potts also performed some heroics in the aftermath of the penalty making a great save as he pushed the ball over the bar.
After that, QP controlled the game and with some better finishing could have had a few more. Their gamesmanship kicked in from the first goal with the ball boys posted missing and delays at all set pieces. Corinthian sporting spirit my @rse!
The game petered out after that and bar one Rovers foray forward when the striker was crowded out, it was all QP.
I'm sure some will come on here and say the red card changed it. That wouldn't be accurate other than to say it made an already certain result an absolute guarantee. It could really have been 4 or 5 and that was before the sending off.
As a team we are just not good enough. Still too easily pushed off the ball and still devoid of ideas. Pretty much to a man they look like rabbits caught in the headlights. The quality just is not there.
What is it they say about a sign of madness being doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. We've filled a team with guys from the juniors, young loanees and young guys from Alloa who aren't ready. And what have we done today? Signed another young guy from Alloa...........
Time is up.

Just in the interests of accuracy (and pedantry)...... Rovers did get a corner right at the death. At that point I was reminded of the great comeback last year when we were 2-0 down with only minutes left and rescued a 2-2 draw. Not today unfortunately.

Impossible to argue with anything already said. I’d really hoped that this appointment would work and am always up for giving people and players a chance. I must admit my patience watching that is almost at zero. I have seen NOTHING that convinced me we will even score in the 36 league games let alone win games. The squad has been pretty much filled with guys who aren’t good enough. Even more laughable that Brogan came out with stuff about some of them being better than guys we used to have. A comment that now reeks of no/little knowledge of league 1 and 2. Saturday at home to Berwick has to be a point at least or it’s bye bye Brogan for me.

For anyone that can be bothered checking are there any senior clubs in UK that haven't scored a goal in their respective leagues yet? What is that if we take league and challenge cup, played 9, lost 9 scored once. Come on, you can't make a case for management team staying based on that.

i disagree with "no credible candidate will take the job", it's already a nothing to lose situation. Any new manager will come in and get our full backing as fans and if it's someone experienced this time with contacts then all the better, better than this junior pish anyway

Of the top 4 leagues in both Scotland and England, only us, Motherwell and Cardiff have failed to score a goal in league football
