Terrible idea. I would not attend those matches as the atmosphere would be foul. Not my idea of a Saturday at Cliftonhill, so no ta.

That’s why the bribe was 200 tickets at £15 each, so £3k for each of the Colts games at Cliftonhill plus £1k for live streaming if available. Is this the money from "The Philanthropist" or elsewhere? (Sounds like a batman supervillain!) If the former wasn't there supposed to be no strings attached?

It’s from the OF - they guarantee to buy 200 tickets at £15 for every away game & pay £1k for live streaming at them.

It seems our new manager is in favour of the colts being admitted into the SPFL according to this article in the Sunday Express!

What have Colt teams added to the Challenge cup which albeit a Mickey Mouse cup it was a decent chance for a lower league club to get a bit of silverware during a mediocre season.
The basis of change is so that a woeful Hearts team don’t get relegated and they are dangling the carrot of extra money to bring clubs to vote for it. It will completely devalue our league.

Looking into my Crystal ball:
Scottish Football Pyramid Review 2029/30
A glorious 19th SPFL Baxters Cock-A-Leekie Premiership title in a row for Celtic albeit given a close run for a 2nd successive season by St. Johnstone. Can they bag a 20th next term? We’re certainly not betting against it! Cove Esso Wind Farm Tigers were the unlucky ones who were relegated just a year after promotion.
In the Baxters Cullen Skink Soup Championship it’s a 5th successive title for Rangers Colts who beat Celtic Colts on the last Friday evening of the season to clinch it. Surprise package Stranraer Ferries clinched the 2nd place and default promotion place with a last minute penalty away to Peterhead Birds Eye.
The Baxters Cream of Asparagus League 1 champions were Motherwell Colts, comfortably beating joint second placed teams Huawei Stenhousemuir, and Clyde Buckfast. Airdrie were bottom and hoped they could won the relegation play-off yet again.
In the Highland Spring League the champions were Aberdeen Colts at the 9th time of asking.
The Spangles Lowland League saw Hibs Colts triumph without any difficulty.
The pyramid play-off was won by Hibs Colts who beat Airdrie Redknapps 7-2 on aggregate just after Harry’s 83rd birthday party in the old folks home.
Crowds were up on last year with 187 being the average in League 1, 203 in the championship and 6899 for the premiership.
Championship side Kilmarnock Colts beat Albion Lees’ Snowballs Rovers of League 1, 5-4 on penalties in the Disney Mickey Mouse Cup final. The Gazprom Scottish Cup was won by Hearts Jammie Dodgers 1-0 over Del Monte Tangerines of Dundee.
Once again this year there was no league cup as no prestigious sponsor could be found.

Colts in the division is a great idea. 200 x 4 x 15 =£12,000 guaranteed next season plus I reckon another 500 or so old firm fans would turn up each match. That's £42,000 next season alone. Happy Christmas 🎄💷
Plus the hundreds of extra pies and Bovril sales.
Bring it on. Much needed revenue and PR for our league.

Not 4 games just the 2 as all teams would play once at home and once away! The colts in the Challenge cup have struggled to top 150 which isn’t much even for us! Boycotts by organised folk and disinterest by others would keep these “crowds” low. In the longer term it could pretty much kill off lower leagues. Also if I’m wrong the potential for trouble. Rangers “fans” were pretty hostile to us when we played them a few years ago as we’re seen as a mini Celtic. Also Celtic green brigade caused problems a few times at the Jock Stein matches.

Peter We would get bigger crowds playing queens park Celtic "colts" played annan in the challenge cup a couple years ago with the massive crowd of 89

Very, very disappointed that our new Manager is indulging the idea of ‘Colts’ in the lower tiers. I, for one, would not attend these fixtures at home or away. The pie in the sky figures provided by Peter are nonsense on stilts - I often wonder if he lives on the same planet as us, I suppose, as a fan of Ranjurs, he probably doesn’t.

Is Brian Reid not a bit of a Ranjurs man at heart?
