The latest from Project Save Hearts via STV:
Scottish Professional Football League clubs will discuss reconstruction proposals next week.
Hearts owner Ann Budge has suggested changing the structure from four to three divisions, each with 14 clubs, for two seasons.
Following a SPFL board meeting on Wednesday, a league spokesman said: “The board has now received Ann Budge’s paper to clubs on the topic of league reconstruction.
“As these matters are ultimately decided by clubs via a democratic process, we will now facilitate a series of divisional meetings, starting with the Premiership on Monday, at which all 42 clubs will have the chance to discuss the proposals in detail.”

Reading online & in newspapers it appears to me that, quite rightly, this plan doesn't have legs. It's pretty much the same plan rejected already and the difference is the 2 years tag which would see multiple relegations and indeed teams ejected from the league altogether thereafter.
I'd be up for it if it wasn't for the 2 year term as we do really need some change. Rovers did show a united front in favour with other league 2 sides of the 14/14/14 at the last vote and presumably would again were it not for the 2 year addition.
Lets get this approved or not sharpish and get on with the matter in hand of getting some actual football ASAP, whether this is August or hopefully no later that October!

I believe the final decision on reconstruction should be made today. Dave Cormack a heid bummer of Aberdeen says he’s not in favour of the latest 5 year temporary increase in the premier division.
He also said he’d be in favour of 2 teams being automatically relegated from league 2 each season. Something I doubt if any league 2 teams would agree with.

Easy to say when it doesn't affect you. Wouldn't be coming up with this if they were in league two. Callous in the extreme. On yer bike Aberdeen. All for reconstruction but with a positive effect not a negative one.

I see the OF have come up with a new wheeze to shoehorn their Colts into the league. Read the whole sordid plan here! This time though bribe is big enough to garner some support although hopefully not enough!

No thanks. They've already ruined one cup.

As long as they can not get promoted, give it a shot. 18 team league has to be home and away only the once, better than trotting off to Cowdenbeath twice a season. Also gives Kelty Hearts and Brora an in, they deserve something for their efforts last season.

The plan is that they can be promoted! Also potential is there for 2 other premier teams to get in through the pyramid play-off.

This will take away any hope of our clubs winning the league. Needs to be kicked into the long grass. No colt teams. That's what reserve leagues are for. Will we ever get reconstruction without big boy self interest? Looking more and more unlikely.

The 18 team lower league is sensible - but not to accommodate Colt Teams- bring back Berwick and East Stirling or the respective runners up from lowland league/Highland league to make up the numbers.

Cant put up a case for berwick they really struggled to get going in the lowland league finished 12th Shire finished 3rd

Plucking out teams from the Lowland league just in the basis they were previously in the SPFL would make a mockery of the already much derided pyramid.

Actually think it sounds quite a good idea, financially it seems fine and what’s wrong with playing the colts teams. If people don’t think that the old firm don’t have the clout then they are in cloud cuckoo land. I’ve thought for years that the bigot brothers should have a second team in the league with a cap on it that they cannot meet their parent club hence no participation for them in national cups. Apart from that it’s a yes from me

See no benefit whatsoever in this. As we've seen in the cup most colt teams bring zero support so two games at home with little financial benefit for the club. If it was the old firm and away fans do come it just introduces sectarian problems.

That’s why the bribe was 200 tickets at £15 each, so £3k for each of the Colts games at Cliftonhill plus £1k for live streaming if available.
