Albion Rovers are disappointed to announce the departure of two of the club's popular players. Declan Byrne has decided to continue his career elsewhere and whilst we’re disappointed we do wish Declan all the very best in his future career. Giuliano Moreno has decided not to return to Scotland so has also left the club. We’d like to wish both players the very best for the future and thank them for their time and service with us.

Will be the way of the world this extended close season - the turnover will be more dramatic than ever in the lower leagues. It is more important than ever that we build up a team that will be up to speed when Autumn comes !

That's rubbish news: very disappointed that both have left. Particularly disappointed that Byrne has joined a fellow league 2 team.

Money talks in most cases but at least he didn't tweet See style. All the best to Morena. Left with dignity.

Really disappointed about the departure of Morena, saw his debut and thought this guy gives us a chance of avoiding the play off match.
Another of the Great Escape heroes departs.
Best of luck to him.

Can fully understand Giuls reasoning. A worldwide pandemic in which his country was one of the worst hit initially and he was stuck here on his own. So he has decided to return home for family reasons. A lovely guy and I wish him all the very best back home.
Gutted about Dec, another great guy to have in the changing room and must admit I’m surprised he’s joined another league 2 side, I thought he was destined to play higher next year.

Really surprised that there is little experience that remains in the squad. Presume he has some players in mind from his contacts in the game. Got to think that? The players who have had a positive impact over the last few seasons appear to be leaving or about to leave.

A bit of a blow to lose Ross Clarke however if a player doesn’t want to play for the club there’s very little you can do. We need experience and quality in the team.
